Automatically Add Tags to Text
Automatically add Facebook and Instagram tags to your set or mix track list, plus output multiple different custom formats at the same time, for easy use on sites like YouTube, Facebook, 1001tracklists, SoundCloud and whatever else you might need.
Important information about formatting your text
Tag Adder requires your text be formatted in one of two ways. Please read the following before moving forward.
- Do not include other text than the track list, and each track needs to be on a line by itself (no empty lines should be present either).
- If "Artist name(s)" has more than one artist, you will need to use some markup. The same applies to "Track mix" if it's a remix with more than one artist.
How to use markup for artists
Each artist has to be enclosed by "__" (two underscores), which would make something like this:
Tag Adder & Snake Charmer
Look like this:
__Tag Adder__ & __Snake Charmer__
As it can be difficult to correctly parse the remix text for the artist name, it's recommended to use the markup for a single artist there as well.
Tag Adder does automatically find the artist name among some of the more common remix texts. Read more about the things that Tag Adder can read through in the "Help" section. - For the options below both "Cue" and "Label name" are optional. The other three parts ("Artist name(s)", "Track title" and "Track mix") are always required.
- "Cue" has to be in the format of "h:mm:ss" or "hh:mm:ss", where the trailing ".xxx" is optional.
Option 1: Using tabulator
Tab (tabulator) is shown as , and has to be between each part of every line, like this:
CueArtist name(s)Track titleTrack mixLabel name
An actual example would then look like this:
0:00:00.000Tag AdderAdding TagsExtended MixTag Adder Records
Do note the following:
- No spaces are needed between each part, just the tab.
- It's optional whether or not "Track mix"is enclosed in parentheses.
Option 2: Strict formatting
This option has stricter formatting requirements, but is pretty standard for how it'd normally look written out. It follows this format:
Cue Artist name(s) - Track title (Track mix) Label name
Which would look something like this with actual text:
0:00:00.000 Tag Adder - Adding Tags (Extended Mix) Tag Adder Records
It's important to note the following:
- There has to be a " - " (space, hyphen, space) between "Artist name(s)" and "Track title".
- That "Track mix" is enclosed in parentheses like shown.
- That there's otherwise just a space between "Cue" (if used) and "Artist name(s)", and the same goes for between "Track mix" and "Label name" (if used).
You can always find more detailed help in the "Help" section of this website.

Paste your track list into the text area below, and it will then be parsed and verified.
If verification is succesful you will automatically be taken to the next step.
If you make any changes directly within the text area, use the button below to re-run the parsing and verification. Pasting something into the text area will always re-run it.

"Cue" and "Label name" are optional.
Option 1 ( denotes a tab):
CueArtist name(s)Track titleTrack mixLabel name
Option 2:
Cue Artist name(s) - Track title (Track mix) Label name
Please remember to use the needed markup when there's multiple artists, as well as for remixers. Check the Help section for more.
